Content: Folio 36. Letter from George Spencer, Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, informing them that the medical officers for the union have been appointed for the next year until Lady day 1852 on the same salaries. Mr John Milligan of the Keighley district comprising Keighley, Steeton and Sutton, £55 plus £5 as Medical Officer of the Keighley workhouse. A total of £60 Mr John Dickson of the Bingley district comprising Bingley and Morton, £45 plus £5 as the Medical Officer of the Bingley workhouse. A total of £50. Mr Edward South Hall of the Haworth district comprising the Haworth township, £26. Besides the fees for extra cases mentioned in the medical order they were all appointed vaccinators of their districts and were paid 9d for each successful vaccination. Mr Spencer asks for the Commission's approval. Annotation: Mr Farnall [H B Farnall, Poor Law Inspector], approves their appointments. Paper Number: 20465/1851. Poor Law Union Number 571.
