Content: Folios 58-59. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Mr Hawley [William Henry Toovey Hawley, Assistant Commissioner], Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Commission, reporting his inspection of the Reeth Poor Law Union Workhouse on 25 June 1847; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates. He reports that the receiving and fever wards are still unfinished, the visiting committee although visiting fortnightly do not sign the visitors book, the medical officer Mr Corson [John Corson] has made no entries at all since his appointment and the Guardians give relief by way of loans to miners.
