Pages 63 to 64. Railway company: 1877; London Chatham and Dover Railway. Notes: Report on two accidents that occurred on 1 March 1877, at Ludgate Hill Station- (1) to the engine of a passenger train and (2) to the engine and part of a passenger train which left the rails. Named witnesses attested that the second accident had occurred as a result of failure by the signalman to change the road used by the train to avoid damage caused by accident (1) 19 passengers were injured in accident (2), none seriously. |
