This series comprises a selection of personal files of clergymen who have registered for preferment. The files include information about the date and place of birth, education, date of ordination, record of service, churchmanship, practice (ie use of incense, vestments, coloured stoles, evening communion), marital status, private means, present stipend, preference for work, outside interests and references. Also notes on visits to the parish by the Ecclesiastical Secretary, notes of meetings and references from other clergy and general correspondence.
