Philip Stephens. Mr. Chamier, in the absence of the Secretary of War, has informed us of the number of Officers that are to embark on the vessels conveying 4 Regiments to North America and asks for the Officers to be accommodated suitably on board. The transports are fitted as usual but as more Officers embarked and the transports have sailed for Portsmouth and Plymouth, propose the vessels are supplied there with any cots and old canvas to enclose their berths, as may be needed. Directions have been given to the Yards accordingly and to Agents to demand the same |
