The series was initiated about 1549 to hold the writs of latitat returned with the endorsement 'non sunt inventi' to signify that defendants could not be found, which were formerly filed in the Bille files (KB 147). These latitats became merely formal documents and probably ceased to be kept in the1590s, with the file for Easter 1590 being the latest known example. |
