Between (a) William Roberts of Lancing, gent., William Hardham of Brighton, gent., and Martha, his wife, Elizabeth Moncke of Lancing, widow, and William Squire of Steyning, apothecary, and Mary, his wife (b) Thomas Tupper of Boxgrove, yeoman, and (c) Richard Gratwicke of Sompting, gent I Messuage, garden, orchard, 2 barns, and 73a. land, with common of pasture and several leases and other appurtenances, in Cokeham and Sompting, formerly belonging to Henry Roberts of Burvilles, Lancing, gent., deceased II 13a. land, with appurtenances, in Tangmere, purchased by the said Thomas Tupper of the said William Squire By this deed, the said parties agreed to levy a fine of the said property to the intent that I may be devised to the use of (c), his heirs and assignes, forever, and II may be devised to the use of the said Thomas Tupper, his heirs and assignes, forever Witnesses: Richard Whise, John Backshell and William Longnut |
