Will of Simon Welman of St Swithin in the city of London, doctor in physic, with bequests, etc., to his sister Grace (wife of John Gold), Mary and Elizabeth Welman (daughters of brother Isaac by his first wife), sister-in-law Mrs. Ann Smith, his sister Sachell's children and brother Sprackett's child/1707 administration P.C.C. 1717. Receipt for £145 from Simon Welman, being 20 per cent of £725 nominal stock in the Bank of England, 1708. Copy of Will of Isaac Welman of Poundisford, with bequests, etc., to his wife, his daughters Mary Buncombe, Elizabeth Welman, Prudence Wyatt, and Hannah Welman, sister Grace Gold, widow, sons Simon and Thos. Welman, granddaughter Elizabeth Welman, and others, and affecting estate called Cuttleiffe, tenements in Bishops Hull and Bradford, Taunton Deane lands, Poundisford Lodge and Poundisford Park, manor of Norton Fitzwarren, and manor of Seavington St Mary; and mentions deceased brother, Simon Welman, doctor of physic; dated 1714. Receipt for legacy of £4000 under Will of Simon Welman of Cutliffs (dated 1716), by Simon Welman (youngest son of sd. Simon) to his mother, Elizabeth Welman, 1737/8. Copy of Will of Elizabeth Welman of Taunton, widow, affecting property at Poundisford, Yard and Iford, with bequests to sons Simon and Isaac, daughter-in-law Mrs. Welman of Poundisford, daughter Mrs. Halliday, grandchildren Thomas, Elizabeth and Rebecca Welman, and John, Simon, Edmund Trowbridge, Mary, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Prudence Halliday, great granddaughters Mary and Elizabeth Halliday, and sister Wyatt; mentioning late son-in-law John Halliday: dated 1761.
