Devise to son John Furner of a messuage, farm and lands in Yalding, Kent, in the occupation of John Eyles. And also to said son a messuage or tenement with backside &c. in Batell [Battle] in the occupation of James Ashenden To grandson John Furner, eldest son of the said son John, all testator's messuages, farms, lands and premises in Yalding in the occupation of Robert Jarman, with all the poles, hop poles on the said farm and lands, he paying to testator's wife Mary the yearly rent of £6 for her life and to John Furner, father of the said grandson for life the yearly rent of £8. Also to said grandson a piece of woodland in Yalding To said wife for her life all testator's copyhold messuages and premises in Battell in the occupation of Richard Bellchamber and others And also a cottage or copyhold messuage and lands in Battell called in the Bushes After the death of said wife and of Robert Furner, he dying without issue, the said copyhold messuages, lands cottages and premises were devised to grandson John Furner Residuary legatee and executrix: said wife Mary |
