Catalogue description Bundle of correspondence, reviews, lyrics, theatre programmes and notes relating to the staging of the ballad opera Kate or Love Will Find Out The Way [aka Kate the Cabin Boy] at the Kingsway Theatre, Great Queen Street, London, Feb 1924. Lyrics adapted by FG Weston; music by Gerrard Williams; produced by Donald Calthorp. Some of Lucy Broadwood's folk songs were used and Sir Horace Munro and her cousin, Francis R Pryor, were also involved in providing material for the production. From the correspondence between Pryor and Lucy, it is clear that relations with both Williams and Calthorp deteriorated, and that eventually Lucy, Pryor and Munro dissociated themselves entirely from the production.
