"Mr. G. Bankin's first wife has been at E. Gd. and claimd the protection of her Husband but I believe she has no claim on him, as she has livd with another man out of England 14 years and has Children by him. Some time since some men and their Wives kickd up a Row and the Boys playd rough Music, and rough it was with a witness, there only wanted your old bullock Horn to compleat the Concert. My Eye what a Din".

The steeple of the church is finished except for the pinnacles, but so much work is bestowed on them that it will be some time before it is completed. The Old Swan is undergoing a thorough repair and is much improved in outward appearance. Mr. Buck has let the farm of Imberhorne, with the corn on the ground etc., to Mr. Ongar, a gentleman from Eastbourne.
