Includes some 500 deeds; the collection ranges from 12th-17th century with a large proportion of medieval documents; mainly East Riding, especially Beverley (including St John's church), Brandesburton, Cottingham and Muston, but some West Riding, especially Adlingfleet, and North Riding, Durham, Hampshire, Lincolnshire and London. Many of the early deeds are published in YRS 111 (1946) and 120 (1953)
