Catalogue description Lease and release by Ann Rigby of Lawford (Essex) spinster, Bernard Hale esq., Lieutenant General of his Majesty's forces Martha his wife (Ann Rigby and Martha Hale being the only sisters and heirs at law of the Rt. Hon. Richard Rigby of Mistley Hall, (Essex) esq. and Francis Hale Rigby (lateley called Francis Hale) of Mistley Hall, esq. nephew of the said Richard Rigby and Frances his wife (Ann Rigby, Martha Hale and Francis Hale Rigby are the devisees named in the will of the said Richard Rigby deceased) to Sarah Child of Osterley Park (Middx.) widow of the manor of Ratley with all the lands, premises and appurtenances belonging to it. Covenant for the production of deeds. Consideration: £5,305-18-0d, of which £5,500 has been paid into the exchequer, on account for the first party, as security for any claims on the manor of Ratley which might result from the settling of the accounts of the said Richard Rigby as Paymaster General of his Majesty's forces. 25th February, 1790.
