Donor's father Martin Buchler was born of Hungarian parents in 1896, (he died in 1977). His family came to U.K. in 1905 via Vienna and Breslau. They first lived in Tavistock Square, London, then later at 261, Goldhurst Terrace, Hampstead. Donor's grandfather, Adolf Buchler was principal of Jews College (1907). See reference to Buechler in Encyclopaedia Juda Vol. IV. The donor's mother's family came to England from Gomel, White, Russia c.1914. They lived in Stamford Hill and Buckley Road, Kilburn and (post-1930) 317, Watford Way, Hendon.
