Admission: at View of Frankpledge with court of Lord St. John and Lady Elizabeth, his wife, held at LYDDINGTON: whereas Robert Irelond, a tenant of the manor of LYDDINGTON, died seised of a messuage, 1 virgate of land and a close adjoining the messuage, in occupation of Laurence Kyghte, and of a close in Prestleyes in occupation of Anne Swyllington, widow, and of 1 and a-half virgates of land in occupation of said Laure nce, and of one other messuage in occupation of John Wells and another half virgate of land to the same belonging; also of another messuage with 2 virgates of land in occupation of Robert Rowlate, and another close in Prestleyes, called the Thorneyeclose, in LYDDINGTON; and after death of said Robert they descended to Emma Kighte, wife of said Laurence and Anne Ridgley, wife of James Ridgley, sisters and next heirs of said Robert, and by mutual agreement it was ordered by the court that the premises be held in equal parts by Laurence and Emma and James and Anne, respectively; now the said parties admit that partition was made between them of the said premises, and said Laurence and Emma come before the court and are admitted.

 

(On the reverse) (a) 1 May 32 Eliz.I: surrender by Emma of 6 acres arable land and 1 acre of meadow parcel of land late in tenure of John Wells to use of Emma for life, and after her death to that of Robert Kight for life, remainder to right heirs of Emma: (b) 1 October 33 Eliz.I: surrender by Emma of a messuage, late in tenure of John Wells, to her own use for life, then to use of Robert Kight for life, and then to that of Henry Kight and heirs: (c) surrender by Emma of virgate of land in occupation of Laurence Kight, to her use for life, then to use of Henry Kight and Ellen his wife and the heirs of his body, remainder to right heirs of Henry for ever: (d) surrender by Emma of messuage, close and virgate of land, lately in tenure of Laurence Kight, and a close in Prestleys, lately in occupation of Anne Swillington, widow, and remainder of a half virgate of land, lately in tenure of John Wells, to her use for life, then to use of Henry Kight.
