Catalogue description Saddlestone Lodge, sometimes given as Ballaughton Farm, (see 1632/223), Isle of Man. Home of Percy Greenhalgh. Left to right: Harry Raven, Belle Raven (nee Greenhalgh), Pattie Greenhalgh, Percy's wife and baby, (possibly Eric in pram), Mrs. Charlotte Greenhalgh, Percy's mother. Percy bought Saddlestone Lodge with the insurance money he received following the destruction by fire of his photographic studio. Printed on the reverse of this photograph is "Percy Greenhalgh, The Studio Weaste M/c", which probably infers that Percy took some photographic equipment with him to the Isle of Man. The donor has very few photographs which have Percy's name and business address on them, although he believes Percy to have acquired a studio quite a while before his brother George.
This record is held by Greater Manchester County Record Office (with Manchester Archives)
