Marriage settlement made between 1. Edward Anthony Holden of Aston Hall esquire 2. Susan Drummond Moore of Snarestone Lodge, county Leicester, spinster, an infant aged 20 and 3. George Moore of Snarestone Lodge esquire, Susan D Moore's brother, the Reverend James Richard Holden of Pleasley, clerk, reciting the will of George Moore late of Snarestone Lodge esquire;, Susan's father, dated 6 April 1827 and proved 5 January 1828, by which £40,000 was directed to be raised when Susan reached the age of 25 unmarried or on her marriage under that age and witnessing that in consideration of the intended marriage of 1. and 2. with the approval of Elizabeth Moore of Snarestone Lodge widow and of the Reverend John Webb Edge of Strelley, county Nottingham, clerk, guardians of Susan D Moore (their signed notes of approval dated 20, 21 November, F 79-80, are annexed) and of the settlement made in favour of Susan and the issue of the marriage, by E A Holden, of properties in the counties of Derby and Leicester by lease and release of 20, 21 November 1832, it is agreed that, on the marriage, the £40,000 shall be vested in 3. to hold upon the following trusts, that they may be able to call in stocks and reinvest the money, receive dividends and pay them to Susan and, after her death, to her husband; when both are dead, the capital and interest are to accrue in trust for Susan's children and grandchildren as she may direct, and for lack of direction in trust for her children equally; if she has no children, as she may direct in her will and in default of direction, for her nearest blood or kin, providing inter alia that Susan may appoint or bequeath any sum not exceeding £10,000 to any person, the sum to be raised out of the trust.

Endorsed with appointment of new trustees, by which Edward Anthony Holden and his wife Susan Drummond appointed Francis Shuttleworth Rendall (formerly Holden) of Aston esquire and James Thomas Edge of Strellay Hall, county Nottingham, esquire trustees of 1832 marriage settlement, to stand possessed of the stocks in which the remaining £30,000 of the £40,000 mentioned in the settlement, is invested (for appointement of £10,000 see below) the former trustees having died, 11 June 1877
