The premises are on the south side of the High Street between the street leading from the High Street to St. Thomas Street to Southgate Street on the south side, a tenement with a backside and a little house with backside of the City formerly held by Giles Gilmore, sadler decd then William Paines decd then Thomas Smith, sadler decd on the west

 

The premises are all known as the Dolphin Inn; they were formerly held by Edward Cole esq decd then Harry Goodman decd father of the 1733 lessee and William Barrett Taylor

 

Reserved too th lessors are: shop and appurtenances late held by William Marsh junior, butcher (1733) then Edward Gater, butcher (1767) then Thomas Taylor, butcher decd, then Richard Hall Tombs, being part of a house (part of the Dolphin); and also the ground where the shop stands and the ceiling over it and the front towards the north and the penthouse over; also the walls, timber pieces and posts on the east, west and south sides of the shop; and the utensils and use of the joists and timbers over the shop and the wall of the chimney jutting out and standing in the shop

 

The shop was formerly sold by Andrew Goodman and William March decd then to Thomas Taylor decd then to Edward Gater. It is included in the leases from 1871

 

Also excepted are 2 tenements or dwellinghouse, brewhouse, woodhouse and necessary house on the south side of the city formerly part of the demised premises now or late held by Henry Hutchins, tailor, and Hester his wife and Edmund Wheeble, cordwainer (1733), then Thomas Hutchins, glazier and William Busby his tenant (1767) and lately sold by Andrew Goodman to Henry Hutchins and his wife, Hester both now decd, parents of Thomas Hutchins (See 34M91W/548 for leases 1733, 1748 and 1765 of this property)
