Mabelle Annie Brassey (1865-1927), who married Charles Augustus Egerton of Mountfield Court, Mountfield, was the eldest daughter of Lord Thomas Brassey. She was a founder member of the committee formed to establish a county nursing association, and served as the Hon Secretary for the East Sussex area of the Sussex County Nursing Association. A fund in her memory financed a scholarship to train a nurse for East Sussex at Plaistow Hospital, London |
