This parish was formerly part of the parish of Doncaster, St George. The building of the church was financed by shareholders of the Great Northern Railway, which had established its railway engineering works - the 'Plant' - in Doncaster, a short distance from the site of the church, in 1852. Including Registration : Bapt 1858-1972 Marr 1864-1979 Banns 1881-1978 Confirmation 1930-1963 Services 1920-1970; Incumbent 1917-1934; churchwardens 1872, 1910-1949; vestry and PCC minutes 1890-1973; other records 1898-1966, including photographs and notes for the centenary, 1957; Also available: Bishop's transcripts 1858-1867 (on microfilm)
