(No. WISTON/3044 is written in Anglo-Norman French; the word translated as 'messuages', mainly on evidence in no. WISTON/3045, is les mees. Neither no. WISTON/3044 nor no. WISTON/3045 (which is in Latin) indicate the parish in which the property is situated, but it is clearly on the boundary of Twineham and Shermanbury, and both deeds are endorsed 'Twineham'.)
