Separated material: Historically at Tate photographs have been separated from paper records. Therefore it is possible some education related photographs may be found in the Tate Gallery Archive photographs series although this is more likely with pre-1999 records.

Administrative / biographical background:

In 2000 the Tate Gallery Education department at Millbank was restructured into a new Tate Britain Department of Interpretation and Education, and a similar Interpretation & Education Department was created at Tate Modern. In 2007-2008 the education function across all Tate sites was renamed Tate Learning, reflecting wider audiences and signifying a shift in thinking and approach.
