1 Gun Farm in Frant; inn called the Abergavenny Arms in Frant and lands, purchased by HN from William Stonewood; the Church Field in Frant, purchased of Mr Dollman; all lands and tenements in manor of Eridge held in trust for HN; purchased tithes of part of family settled estates in Worcestershire; all HN's turnpike securities and navigation and canal shares; farm called Lightlands and other land and houses in Frant; advowson of Rottingdean; messuage at Rottingdean; lands in Rodmell purchased of Charles Saxby and [blank] Tompsett; lands near Lewes purchased of Earl De La Warr; lands in Rotherfield purchased of J Cochran; all other hereditaments purchased by HN in Rotherfield; all other real estate to which HN is entitled except property at Birling, Kent

 

2 Pieces of land in Birling purchased from one Wickham, deceased, and conveyed to HN 10 and 11 Sep 1830

 

Will, 5 Mar 1839, recites that HN has now only two children, John Viscount Nevill and William Nevill. The ancient family entailed estates have been improved and testator has purchased further estates valued at £70,000. He intends to give all such estates to John Viscount Nevill to descend with the title and to make provision for William Nevill who has a large family.

 

Devises 1 above to brother George Henry Nevill and Daniel Rowland (whom he appoints as executors) to hold to the use of John Nevill for life, remainder to the heirs to the family settled estates

 

Devises to John Nevill all money due to HN from turnpike roads

 

Devises property 2 to son William Nevill

 

Bequeaths heirlooms (specified) to John Nevill; other personal effects (details) at Eridge Castle and at HN's house in Berkeley Square; rents accruing from HN's estates at his decease

 

Pecuniarty and chattel bequests to brother George Henry Nevill, sister-in-law Caroline Nevill, John Nevill, nephew Reginald Nevill, Walter Sprott, estate and domestic servants (named), housekeeper Mrs Francis and valets Berger and Kuny, grand-daughter Mary Myers, grandson Thomas Myers, grandson William Nevill, grand-daughter Caroline Emily Nevill, grand-daughter and god-daughter, Henrietta Augusta Nevill, grand-daughter Isabel Mary Frances Nevill, grandsonRalph Pelham Nevill
