The collection of photographs belonged to Clara Kenworthy (born 31 December 1893), the daughter of William Kenworthy and Elizabeth Holden. Because of some family difficulty Clara was brought up in the home of Harry Heywood and his wife Betty, née Holden. They married on 2 June 1900 at Leesfield Parish Church. Harry and Betty Heywood lived with Betty's spinster sister Hannah Holden at 98 Brewerton Road. Hannah and Betty's younger brother was Arthur Holden. Arthur's daughter Annie was the mother of the donor, Dennis Clampton to whom fell the task of sorting out Clara's papers on her death. Betty, Hannah and Arthur had at least one other brother, William who may have gone to Russia.

Clara Kenworthy never married and worked in the mills, eventually becoming a line supervisor.
