Grant on life:

 

John Chaundiller the elder, citizen of Salisbury, warden and proctor of the alms-house or hospital of the Holy Trinity newly built, to Edith, formerly daughter of John Gras of Britford:

 

Second, separate chamber built in the garden of the hospital, where Edith dwells with victuals and clothing supported by alms contributed by the city in manner agreed by the paupers resident in the hospital. An allowance for maintenance is granted also.

 

Sealing clause.

 

Witnesses: Thomas de Boreford, mayor of Salisbury; William Warmwell; John Moner; John Cammel; John Bakere; Richard Spenc[er], Richard Juwel; William Hull.

 

Given at Salisbury on Monday before the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin, 1396.
