(a) Thomas Steel of Chichester, timber merchant (b) Daniel Foot of St. Pancras near Chichester, baker Messuage, wash-house, stable and piece of garden ground now divided into two separate gardens to the said messuage; also all the way or passage on the west side of the said messuage from the street unto the said gardens with the small parcel of ground adjoining to the said garden ground near the end of the said passage, now or lately used as a dung-gate, being in the parish of St. Pancras outside Eastgate, Chichester, formerly in the occupation of William Stripe, for many years past partly untenanted, but now in the occupation of (a); bounded by another messuage wash-house and garden of (a) now in the occupation of John Ayling to east, the Chancel of the new church of St. Pancras partly, with an edifice and piece of ground now occupied by one John Gittens as a wheeler's yard and wheelers shop partly, and with another piece of ground on part whereof is an edifice or shed used for a hoop shave house now in the occupation of John Smith partly to west, with a parcel of garden ground called the Bishop's Hop Garden to north, St. Pancras street to south (with sketch map attached) Consideration: £150 Recites: From 1618-1748 as in Add Mss 18359 Witnesses: William Milton junr., Thomas Gregory |
