Description:

Jacob Squance of Keynsham, farmer, Benjamin Smith, late of the City of Bristol, but now of Malligriffin in the County of [blank space], coppersmith, Martha Brookman of Compton Dando, widow, Rachael Brookman of do., widow, and Dianah Maggs of Queen Charlton, widow, to James Robins of Queen Charlton, farmer, OF two messes. or dwelling houses (Reciting (1) Indenture of Lease, 1783, May 19. Rev. John Harrington, clerk, Charles Butcher, gent., Rev. Alexander Adams, clerk, and John Light, gent., surviving feoffees of the Manor settled on the Parish Church of Compton Dando, to Jane Brookman of Compton Dando, widow, of two messes or dwelling houses at Cockerhill, Compton Dando ph. with garden, barton amd orchard adjoining (½a.); plot of ground (28p.) lately part of an orchard formerly in the possession of Geo. Clement, deced., and bounded on the North with the road leading to Compton Dando and then thrown open to the said garden and orchard; piece of ground then lately enclosed from the Common belonging to the Parish Church, adjoining Mary Pitts orchard (¼a.) then in the possession of the said Jane Brookman and Levi Brookman; with appurts. Timber, mines, minerals, common of pasture and rights of common belonging to the Church reserved to feoffees. For 99 years on the lives of Levi Brookman, James his son (15 years) and Hannah Ward daughter of Ric. Ward, then late of Bedminster, deced., (19 years), of whom Hannah is survivor. Rent. 5/- p.a. payable ½ yearly at Michaelmas and Lady Day; (2) that Jane Brookman is now deced., and the premises are now vested in the assignors who have agreed to assign the remainder for £27.10.) OF the said premises at the said £27.10.
