Description:

7th May 3 Car. [1627] Indenture. Parties, Richard Molineux of Sefton, knight and baronet, Sir John Carrill of Harting Co. Sussex knight & Dame Alice Lady Dormer, late wife of Sir William Dormer deceased, one part, and Hugh Anderton of Pendle Hall, gentleman, other part. In consideration of £450 paid by the said H.A. & in part performance of covenante in certain indentures dated 5th. May. 3 car (26/92) the said Richard Molineux, John Carrill & Alice Dormer grant & sell unto the said H.A. all that capital messuage called by the name of the Hall of Euxton now in the possession of the said Hugh & Isabel Anderton, widow, mother of the said Hugh, with all barns, stables etc, and all closes of land (lands described by name & areas given) together with all the appertenances rents, duties etc, but reserving the right of way with or without horses & carts etc, over a parcel of land in Euxton called Buckshaw, Great Buckshaw, nearer Buckshaw and the Little Hey.

 

To hold to the said Hugh for ever. Executed by the grantors.
