A parcel of land called Hetewateris with an annual rent of 4s. arising from a feefarm of 1 messuage lately belonging to Walter Fynch; the said parcel lying in Rye between the tenement of Stephen Bever on the west, the land of Richard Bayle and Chantry land on the south, land late of William Warre on the east and the highway on the north, all of which the donor had by feoffment from William Cheyne and Eleanor his wife, John Warenere and Isabel his wife. To hold at feefarm, rent 12d. per annum. Covenant for distraint on default of rent. Witnesses: Richard Essp[icer], then mayor, Thomas Longe, Thomas Langley, Stephen Bever, John Batot, John Sutton, John Sote. 3 Seals, on tags: (i) red, defaced; (ii) red, 'S' surmounted by a crown; (iii) 'A.' Endorsed: the deade of the tenement late mother Asshes geven to the churche. |
