Letter. Henry Hinds, surveyor to N. Bayden: "I have sent the account to you that you might see How I stand with the Parish As for My coming up to the Meeting I cannot as I am ingaged If I could I should not in the Way you have accused me and Bow Beten If I was a Vagabond you could not have acosted me more and if you wont to see the Books you May by coming to My House as for to Bring them after you I shall not till I leave then I shall give them up to the other Surayor & pay him the Balance I do not like to be used in the way you treated me this Morning I know my Office If I have made of with all the Money You could not have used More threting usage and Bow Beating, you put us in office and then wont to drive us like Dogs you have always treated me in this way Perhaps when you lay on Your Death Bed you may think of the way you treat your fellow Men You will think then If the Almighty treats me in the way I have my Fellow Creatures I have no hopes I do not like it if I cannot help myself

 

I do not know how to address myself to you therefore I stand
