Deed to lead to the uses of a fine, Lady Mary, Countess dowager of Pembroke, widdow of William, Earl of Pembroke and Phillip, Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, brother and heir of William agree to levy a fine in favour of trustees to the use of Philip the manors of Hathersage, Over Padley, Nether Padley and lands in Grindleford, Cotes, Thornell, Leam, Derwent, Castleton, Bradwell, and Alfreton, Shothull and Posterne, and the parks there; lands etc in 'le Champaine in le High Peake' (acreages given) with tithes, and pasture called 'Le Tonge' and 'Le Whitfield'; lands in Offecote called 'Hardmans Close' near Ashbourne; lands called 'Wynelandes' in Monyash, Chelmorton, Over Haddon, Blackwell, Ashford, Wardlow, and Cardeburgh in the High Peake; manors of Chesterfield and Totley and Hundred of Scarsdale with Spitte Farm in Chesterfield and lands in Brampton, Dronfield, Cawshall, Hazelwood, Ecklington (all above Db). Also the manors of Meering, Sutton, Dunham, Stocke Bardolph, Gedling and Clipstone Park; the Rectories of Lowdham, Sutton, East Markham, West Markham, and Wheatley; rents in above and Shelford, Carlton, Colwick, Burton Joyce, Laxton, Edwinstowe, Drayton, Ragnall, Upton Cum Headon, Thrumpton, Ordsall, Gringley. Also the manor of Tankersley; the Rectories and tithes at Ecclesfield and Bradford (all YW). Also the manors of Ashton, Gifford, Stokevarden [Stoke Farthing] and Wilkesford (all W).
