Administrative / biographical background: |
The brothers W and R K Lee of Manchester bought No 1 Lock Hill mill and part of Kebroyd Mills in 1905. In 1934, their nephew Frank Lee joined John Crossley and Sons, shortly after becoming chairman of the Board. In 1936, W and R K Lee became a limited company and in 1958 it changed its name to John Crossley and Sons (Croslee Yarns) Ltd. In 1967 it became known as Croslee Yarns Ltd |
