Comprising court rolls 1274-1925; various docket books and other indexes 15th to 20th cent; records of the extinguishment of the manor 1926-1947; various manuscripts relating to the history of the manor 17th-18th cent; also including accounts of rents, fines etc in Brighouse, Halifax and Holmfirth 1785-1813, surveys of the graveships of Alverthorpe, Hipperholme, Holme, Ossett, Rastrick, Sandal, Scammonden, Sowerby, Stanley and Thornes 1803-c1860; enclosure records for Alverthorpe, Darton, Emley, Golcar, Hartshead, Holme, Horbury, Normanton, Ossett, Ovenden, Sandal, Scammonden, Sowerby and Soyland, Stainland, Wakefield and Wharley; maps and plans, notably copy plan of the boundaries of the graveship of Holme (temp Henry V) c1757, plan of the manor of Liversedge n.d.[late 17th or early 18th cent] (see also MS1127). Also includes a bull of Pope Martin IV to the Bishop of Durham 1285. Also Wakefield manor, graveship of Holme, notice of public meeting.
