Description:

Folios 174-175. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Courtenay Boyle, Poor Law Inspector, to the Local Government Board, reporting his inspection of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union workhouse, on 28 September 1874: includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, and numbers of inmates. He particularly notes that: the girls' lavatory is still in its objectionable state, the master has no office and the chapel is not warmed.
Annotated: 'Advert to the Guardians' letter of 21 October 1874 and request to know what decision the Guardians have arrived at', 23 February 1875.
