Title: Assignment by William, [1st] Baron Craven of Hampstead Marshall, co. Berks. (later Viscount Craven of Uffington, co. Berks., and Earl of Craven, co. Yorks.) to Herbert Morley of Glynde and William Hay of Little Horsted in trust for Sir John Fagge, and in consideration of £600.
Description:

Manor of Lundsford (200a.) in Etchingham, in occ. of John Reynolds; capital messuage called Weighleigh [Whyly] (500a.) in East Hoathly, in occ. of John Wells; manor of Woodknowle (150a.) in Burwash in occ. of Elias Tyler; manor of Mottingsden in Burwash; two messuages and land (60a.) in East Hoathly, formerly in occ. of James Temple, then of James Kenward and John Wells.

Recites that a recognizance by statute staple in £1,000, 14 Dec. 1639, from Sir Thomas Lunsford to John, Lord Craven, was not paid, and an inquisition, 24 Dec. 1646, at Horsham showed that he was possessed of the above property which therefore was taken in payment. John, Lord Craven, died and letters of administration of his estate were granted to William, Lord Craven (as above), his brother.
