Of all the lands and tenements, which they lately had by grant of John Keynes, senior, in Weryngeston, Ynedon and Wolwey near Honyton; to hold for the life of said John Keynes, with remainder after death of John to Nicholas Keynes, son of said John and to Matilda wife of Nicholas and the issue male of Nicholas, with remainder in default to said John Keynes and his heirs.

 

Witnesses: Sir Thomas Beauchamp, kt., Sir Thomas Pomeray, kt., Nicholas Rede, Thomas Bolour, John Crukern.

 

Date: Weryngeston, Monday next after feast of Assumption, 6 Henry V [1418].

 

Two seals.

 

The Assumption is on August 15th, which falls on a Monday in 1418; presumably therefore August 22nd is meant.
