Folios 133-134. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from John Walsham, Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union Workhouse on 1 May 1855; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates.
He is concerned about the overcrowding in the female wards and the receiving ward, especially for the male inmates with infectious diseases which, is inadequate. Recommended wood floors for the schoolrooms instead of brick.
