Lease and Release whereby, having recited: firstly, a lease and release (22nd.-23rd. Nov., 1820) whereby Jordan Well hereditaments initially hereinafter described were conveyed to the use of John Sparkes (in 1821 of Kenilworth, Warws., gent.) and Jonathan Bray (in 1821 of Coventry, silkmercer) so that a messuage occupied by Richard Bray might be held in trust for that man but it and the rest of the property be sold for the benefit of the children of Thomas [I] Bray sen. (in 1821 of Kenilworth, yeoman) after himself, other parties involved being Thomas Jeffcoat, William Orton, T. [I] Bray sen.'s children and their husbands (Thomas [II] Bray jun. (in 1821 of London, gent.), Josiah Page (of Bedworth, Warws., surgeon) and his wife Sarah, John Paxford Shaw (of Bedworth, draper and grocer) and his wife Ann, and Elizabeth Bray (of Kenilworth, spinster)), and Richard Bray (no place; yeoman); and secondly, that John Sparkes and Jonathan Bray have agreed to sell all the premises to Thomas [II] Bray jun.: therefore (in consideration of £600 paid by Thomas [II] Bray to J. Sparkes and J. Bray, and of 10/- paid by him to T. [I] Bray sen.) Sparkes and J. and T. [I] Bray sell to T. [II] Bray PA 184/1/2's premises (with two unidentified tenants of the messuage formerly Pass'), part being known as "The Cock" inn (altogether let to J. Bray, --Ison, Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Warner and Richard Bray) with Abraham Herbert (of Coventry, silk mercer) as his trustee; moreover, Sparkes and J. Bray covenant to produce 1820 deeds for T. [I] Bray sen..
