Mortgage 1. Elizabeth Offley of Hinton, widow 2. Andrew Dawes of the Lea, gent. Whereas Elizabeth has borrowed from Dawes £250 and to secure it she, with Edward Phillips, clerk, and Catherine his wife, customary tenants of the Manor of Ford, at a Court Baron and Customary for the Manor on this day before Thomas Mathewes, gent, deputy steward, in the presence of Robert Phillips and Thomas Teague, customary tenants, came into court and surrendered to the Lord the customary messuage called Genoes Tenement, 1 garden, 1 parcel of land called the Orchard, 2 parcels called the Crabtreefields, 1 parcel called Adam Lyes, 1 parcel called the Wheat Furlong, 4 acres of meadow in the Lea Meadow and 1 parcel of land called the Non-ills, and all other customary lands which were the lands of William Genoe deceased, to the use of Andrew Dawes, with equity of redemption. Docketed: Mrs Offley her deed to Mr Dawes. |
