Description:

(a) William Best of Horsham, yeo., and Thomas Best of Nutfield, co. Surrey; (b) Anne Voyce of Horsham, widow and executrix of Henry Voyce, late of Horsham, glover; (c) Nicholas Best of Horsham, gent.

 

(a) to employ the profits arising from £100 to the use of (b) and (c), for the life of (b), and then to pay the principal money itself to the children of the said Henry Voyce, and the children of (b) and (c) [details of shares given] but if Robert Voyce, youngest son of the said Henry, shall be admitted to a customary messuage and yardland called Malhams alias Slutt at Marlpost [in Horsham], now the land of Brian Voyce of Horsham, yeo., grandfather of said Robert, then his share of the money (£30) is to be divided among the other surviving children.

 

Recites: (i) will [no date given] of said Henry Voyce devising 'diverse' lands and tenements in Horsham to Brian and Henry, two of his sons, and Mary and Jane, two daus., but so that (b) may receive the rents and profits during their minority; (ii) bond, 6 June 1629, in £200, from Henry Worsfold of Horsham yeo., to (a), for the payment of £107 10s. 0d.

 

With bond and releases, 8 Aug. 1635-1 March 1648/9, relating to the above payments and involving Brian Foyce [sic], Anne Holloway, Henry Voyce, Thomas Parson, Robert Awsten, and Patience Worsfold.
