2. William Waggard of Sappeston' [Sapiston]

 

(1) to (2) in perpetual exchange, 4 pieces of meadow lying in Sappeston'; of which 1st piece lies in close between meadow of Thomas Woode on W. and meadow of Ralph Wulnooth on E., 1 head abutting N. on land of the manor, other head abutting S. on river bank leading from Sappston' to Berdewell [Bardwell]; 2nd piece between meadow of John Martyn on both sides, 1 head abutting S. on said river bank, other head abutting N. on meadow of William Grenegres; 3rd piece between meadow of (2) on both sides, 1 head abutting S. on on said river bank, other head abutting N. on tenement of Northis; 4th piece between Wrenys Park on E. and (2)'s meadow, 1 head abutting N. on land of the manor, other head abutting on said river bank; to hold in exchange for his piece of meadow lying in Sappeston' in close called Rooses.

 

If last-mentioned piece of meadow is recovered in court of King or chief lords, (1) may repossess said 4 pieces of meadow. Warranty clause. Witnesses: John Purpyl, peter Kyng, John Martyn, Ralph Wulnooth, Thomas Beete and others. Given at Ixworth, 10 Feb., 2 Edw.IV.
