Administrative / biographical background:

Tate St Ives opened in 1993 as Tate Gallery St Ives. The education programme is closely linked to the exhibitions programme. It also continues to have a strong artist in residence programme. In 2007-2008 the education function across all Tate sites was renamed ‘Tate Learning’, reflecting wider audiences and signifying a shift in thinking and approach. From the end of 2012, the Learning Team at St Ives became part of a new Programme Team, bringing together exhibitions and displays curators with learning curators.
