John Clark, master of schooner 'Christian' from Dartmouth and William Cooke, mate, stated on oath that on [date left blank] they shipped at Liverpool 2,316 bushels, 16 lbs. of British fishery salt to carry it to St. Ives on account of John Harry, fish curer. They sailed on 8 Aug. last and on 11 Aug. they ran into a storm and the vessel sprang a leak. 43 bushels, 16 lbs. salt were lost: Collector of Excise to cancel the bond.
