Goosehill Hall and other property in Castleton, together with a moiety of his leadmines, to his son John Bagshaw; the other moiety to William. £2,100 to his daughter Elizabeth to be paid out of the estates left to Richard and William's estate in Craven conveyed to him by testator's cousin Wm. Drake. Interest on £1,500 to be paid to his daughter Ellen Chambers during her life and then the principal to be divided among her children as she (notwithstanding her coverture) shall direct, and further sums to his Chambers grandchildren. To his daughter Mary, £500 to be paid within 12 months after her husband, John Haworth, shall make an additional settlement of lands in jointure on her and in default of such settlement the interest only to be paid to her sole use (notwithstanding her coverture). An annuity of £10 out of his estate at Overend to his brother William for his life, provided he gives a release for a legacy of £100 bequeathed him by grandfather Torr. £50 to his niece Mary Heathcote. The house lately used as a Schoolhouse in trust to teaching 12 poor children and £20 to be laid out at interest for Schoolmasters at Wormhill and Norton.

 

All the residue of his real and personal estate to his son Richard. 13 March, 1749/50. Probate: 21 June, 1750.
