3 Edward Ambridge, Wilden, yeoman (occupier & trustee)

 

Whereas The Rev John Emery by his will of 4 September 1799, proved in the registry of the Archdeaconry of Huntingdon on 25 September, after devising specific legacies, did devise and bequeath premises at Kimbolton, Wilden and Ravensden, and all real and personal estate to William Freeman, John Emery and Thomas Wiles and assigns upon trust to sell the same by public auction or otherwise after his decease.

 

And Whereas said John Grant has agreed with William Freeman, John Emery and Thomas Wiles for purchase of same.

 

Witnesseth conveyance by 1 to 2 in consideration £50; 5s paid by 2 to [blank]

 

- cottage or tenement formerly occupied by Thomas Lavender and his undertenants

 

- 3 selions of land upon which said cottage was formerly built being in or near a field called Hunts Croft, Wilden, containing åa lying next to the land formerly of Hugh King.

 

- 4 selions being 1a arable land in Hunts Croft.

 

:S land formerly William Wagstaff

 

:N said 3 selions and cottage of William Keeting, later Thomas Lavender

 

:E Common Way of Hunts Croft purchase by said John Emery deceased, from Thomas Lavender. All which said premises are occupied by Edward Ambridge.

 

2 to enjoy premises without hindrance and appoint 3 their lawful attorney and in their name take full and peaceable possession of said premises, and thereafter deliver the whole to 2.
