Feast of All Saints 2 Henry III

 

Roger son of Jordan grants to Robert son of Robert Cumpain and his heirs a certain messuage in the borough of Shrewsbury which was once of William Blunde, Roger's grandfather, standing near to the land (propinquorum terre) which was of a certain Godwin bere. To hold from the feast of All Saints 2 Henry son of King John for 20 years for 32/- which Robert gave Henry to farm and for 12d which Roger and his heirs are bound to pay to Robert at farm each year for the said land, that is up to the sum of 20/-, and at the end of the said term the said messuage shall remain to Roger and his heirs, saving that the expenses which Robert shall lay out in repairing buildings shall be paid to him.

 

Witnesses: Gamel and Reiner son of Martin, provosts of Salop, Henry Wildegos, Richard Villain, Thomas Boray, Robert Wischard, Peter Villain, Robert Bunel, Alan Wildegos, William Vawin, Nicholas de Chotes.
