Assignment of lease for £1,300: 1. Mary Pownall of City of Chester, widow, 2. William Pownall of Chorlton, co. Chester, gent. & John Pownall of City of Chester, gent. only surviving children of William Pownall late of Liverpool, merchant, decd. by the said M.P. 3. Edward Mason & Cornelius Bourne, both of Liverpool, merchants & co-partners - parcel of ground in Liverpool, 12 yds. in front to Pownall Street & in depth 16 yds. & 2 parcels in Liverpool, 1 ac. lately leased by M.P. to John Fisher of Liverpool, merchant, & used as a timber yard - E.W. to have a moiety for lives of M.P., W.P., & J.P., then for 21 years under payment of yearly rent of £4.1.4.

 

C.B. to have other moiety for lives of M.P., W.P., & J.P., then for 21 years under a proportionable part of the reserved rent of £4.1.4.

 

Recites lease, 17th Dec.1768, between Mathew Stronge, esq. the Mayor of Liverpool, Richard Powell & John Sparling, gents. the Bailiffs, to Mary Pownall, administratix of goods & chattels of her late husband William Pownall, the elder, for lives of M.P., & W.& J. her sons & then for 21 years
