Letters - patent of Henry VIII granting to John Combes senior (gentleman) and Richard Stansfelde (yeoman), for £987/5/6, from Michelmas next, firstly, St. Mary's Priory's site and a nearby parcel called "le Pole yarde", a watermill (Priory Mill), Swanswell Pool, a stable (occupied by Simon Parker), a second stable (held by William Joyner), a third stable (tenanted by William Saunders), a stable and a vacant piece of land called "the Stable Yarde" (leased to William Jenyns), a parcel of land named "le uttercourte" with garden (let to Laurence Faune), a pond (demised to Thomas Wilcocks) and "le malthouse", "le kylnehouse", "le slaughterhouse" and "le porters lodge" (no inhabitants); also granted is a site outside the monastery (occupied by Laurence Faune) and all appurtenances to the priory except bell-lead and iron, stone, timber and glass in the church, bell-tower, cloister and chapels; secondly, all priory property in Coventry, viz.
