Transcript of the first and beginning of the second parish registers including memoranda recording: the elections of parish officers from 1602; the reading of the 39 articles following an incumbent's induction, 1562; burials of Joan Warner alias Jarret, widow aged 110, 1641; and Joan Saxby, widow, being 104 years old, 1653. At the end of volume memoranda concerning the induction of a vicar to Brenchley and his election as register, and in latin, an account of his education, 1656; extracts from the wills of Richard Bishop, 1695, George Payne, 1682, Stephen Woodgate, 1672, and Mr. Roberts, 1652, bequeathing charity. [Gap, 1 Jan. 1612 - 23 Dec. 1613 because of loss of page in original, and note to the effect that some names were lost on account of bad recording.]
