The Royal Commission on the National Health Service was set up to undertake a comprehensive review of NHS services to patients, NHS and its workers, NHS and other institutions and NHS management and finance. At the conclusion of the work, 117 recommendations were presented to Parliament in June 1979.

 

Sir Paul Bramley was Professor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sheffield, 1969 - 1988. He was a member of the Royal Commission on the National Health Service, 1976 - 1979.
